“If I liken you to a locust, I’m probably not trying to be nice. Then again, if I liken you to a locust, I probably have quite a good reason. Just a heads-up.”

This is an amusing quip I made on Facebook recently under the influence of heavy fatigue. It’s the only thing I’ve written recently that sounded remotely suitable for the title of this, my fourth online journal incarnation.

I think I’ve realised by this point that regular, consistent journalling just isn’t for me. However, I do have bouts where I wish I had the means to do so for a little while without technology getting in the way. I also figured that consolidating all my past public journal posts in one place might be a clever idea.

And so here I am on WordPress. I don’t maintain the technology, so it can’t get in the way. I’ve imported the content from two of my three past blogs so far, with full intentions of importing the very first (which surprisingly spans a period of over two years) sometime soon.

And as for near-future content: who knows? I’m at a point where things around me are starting to weigh me down, and I guess I’d like to start learning a bit more about myself. I foresee at least some near-future content.

I’d successfully avoided succumbing to the MySpace hype for years now, but curiosity finally has the better of me—217,957,982 people had signed up for a MySpace account before I gave in, and surely they can’t all be wrong.

So will it be worth it? I don’t know. Truthfully, I barely know what a MySpace account actually offers. Perhaps since you’re reading this you actually know me, or want to talk to me for some other reason, and maybe you’ll play a part in showing me what it’s all about.

Or you can just not—it’s all good.

As for whether I’ll ever write another blog post or fill out my profile, that’s probably up to you as well. Do you have any ideas? What questions would you like answered? Would you like to see me write about something in particular?

Please feel free to leave some comments and get me started. :)

Quick, put all my personal problems aside for the moment—the site’s going to undergo a new look.

Mm, you read correctly. There really isn’t anything wrong with the current design of the site—it gets the job done flawlessly, it’s a truly original design and I haven’t undergone any design changes since I threw myself online almost two years ago.

And that’s an achievement. Think of almost every other personal website in the world, facing the scalpel of redesign as often as… some timeframe shorter than almost two years anyway. But then one could argue that if I had actually updated my online presence regularly, I might have done the same thing. Well to you, I say shut up.

Guess who loves to ramble?… Do <del>check out a preview</del> of said look, and if you’ve got anything to say about it then I’d really like to hear from you. Preferably before I start programming the bloody thing.
